Ultrapool Ball Tier List (August 2026)
Ranks here are an argument, not a vote count: every entry names the mechanic it is judged on and quotes the in-game effect text behind it, so you can disagree with a placement and still use the data. Rarity is the game's own label, and it is deliberately not the ranking — Sand is a Common that sits in S, and Overflow Ball is a Legendary that sits in B.
Ranked by how the effect text scales, not by vibes: S multiplies or compounds without a ceiling, A adds a ball or a buff every round, B pays out reliably once per trigger, C is situational or purely positional. Every note quotes the in-game effect it is judged on. Verified against build V0.14.14.
S Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pants | Classic · Legendary | The only common source of raw multiplier: "Pocket: Increase the multiplier of 2 random pockets by 1". Multiplier is applied to everything you sink afterwards, so it compounds with any scoring plan. |
| Reaper | Spooky · Rare | "Pocket: Give the pocket +1 mult and pull the last ball this hit for 1 seconds" — multiplier plus a free extra pocket. Rare rather than Legendary, so it actually shows up in shops. |
| Gaia | Nature · Legendary | "Whenever a ball gets a buff, increase it by 1" turns every buff source in the run into a bigger buff source. Pairs with Bush, Moss, Bee, Window and flowers. |
| Sand | Nature · Common | "Receive buff: Score that amount x1" is the reason buffs matter at all. A Common that converts any repeated buff engine into direct score — the cheapest S-tier pickup in the game. |
| Time Machine | Tech · Legendary | "Pocket a >level1 ball: Spawn a level1 copy of it with 1 score" duplicates your upgraded balls every round, which is board width you never have to buy. |
| 8 Ball | Classic · Legendary | "Combine with any number ball to add the scores" — the top of the number-ball chain. A stacked number build ends on this or on Overflow Ball. |
A Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mirror Ball | Classic · Rare | "Spawn: Spawn a level1 copy of your front ball" — free board width every round, and it copies whatever you have invested in most. |
| Printer | Tech · Rare | "Pocket: Spawn 2 level1 blueprint balls that transform into the first ball they hit" — two extra bodies per pocket that inherit a good ball. |
| AI Brain | Tech · Rare | "Pocket: Spawn a level1 mixed ball based on the non-ai balls in your build" — a free cocktail-bar fusion every round without paying for the mix. |
| Octopus | Friends · Rare | "Pocket: Spawn 8 small fish with 1 score" — eight extra pocketable bodies, which is eight extra triggers for anything that fires on pocketing. |
| Jellyfish | Friends · Rare | "Pocket: Get a passive copy of this ball (max 8) · Pocket any ball: Score 1" — stacks toward a permanent income floor. |
| Lich | Spooky · Legendary | "Pocket: Haunt a random pocket. When you pocket a ball in it, respawn this with 20% score" — a ball that keeps coming back for the rest of the round. |
| Rainbow | Nature · Rare | "Spawn & Pocket: If all your balls are different, give all of them +1" — a global buff twice a round, and it feeds Sand and Gaia. |
| Window | Nature · Uncommon | "Pocket: +1 all your balls and flowers" — the cheapest global buff in the game and an engine part for any Nature board. |
| Butterfly | Friends · Common | "Spawn & Pocket: +1 every ball" — a Common that buffs the whole board twice per round. |
| Dandelion | Nature · Rare | "Pocket: Plant as many flowers as this has score" — flower count scales with the ball you feed, which is the entry point for the flower build. |
| Nest | Nature · Rare | "Pocket another ball: +1 3 eggs. If they reach 10 score, transform them into chicken" — a self-feeding egg engine that ends in permanent bodies. |
| Rat King | Spooky · Rare | "Pocket a non-rat: +1 · Pocket: Transform a rat into a rat king and give it this ball's score" — rats multiply and the king consolidates their score. |
| Witch | Spooky · Rare | "Round start: Permanently transform your center ball randomly and give it +1" — a permanent reroll each round, best when your worst ball is the one being rerolled. |
| Zombie | Spooky · Rare | "Hit a ball with less score: transform it into a copy of this ball to gain +1" — converts your weakest bodies into more of your strongest. |
| Shark Plush | Friends · Rare | "Any ball Transforms: give it +3" — pays out on every transform effect, which the Spooky set is full of. |
| Parrot | Friends · Rare | "Pocket a ball with a Pocket effect: mimic its Pocket effect at level1 (once per shot)" — a second copy of your best trigger every shot. |
| Bush | Nature · Uncommon | "Receive buff: Increase it by 1" — the budget Gaia, and it stacks with the real one. |
| Moss | Nature · Uncommon | "Receive buff: +1 another random ball" — turns one buff into two and keeps a buff chain running. |
| Calculator | Tech · Uncommon | "Any other ball spawns: +1" — grows every single round with no input from you, and every point of growth is a buff for Sand. |
| Tiger | Friends · Legendary | "Pocket: Launch every ball!" — a board-wide launch is a board-wide chance at extra pockets on a crowded table. |
| Chicken | Nature · Uncommon | "Spawn & Pocket: Spawn a level1 egg with 1 score" — two extra bodies a round, and eggs pocket themselves off walls. |
| Frog | Friends · Uncommon | "Pocket: transform the closest ball into a copy of this one and give it +1" — cheap self-replication that also triggers Shark Plush. |
| Nesting doll | Classic · Rare | "Pocket: Spawn a copy of this ball 1 level lower, if possible" — an upgraded nesting doll unpacks into several rounds of free bodies. |
| Recycler | Tech · Rare | "Pocket another ball: upgrade a Scrap and give it +1" — the Tech engine's upgrade pump, and scrap is free from Machine, TV and Nuts. |
B Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Overflow Ball | Classic · Legendary | "Can be combined with any number ball, adding up the scores" — enormous in a dedicated number build, dead weight in every other one, which is what keeps it out of S. |
| Yinyang | Classic · Uncommon | "Pocket: Give another pocket +1 mult and -2 score" — real multiplier at an Uncommon price, but the score penalty hurts before your board is large. |
| Puzzleball | Tech · Rare | "Pocket another ball: Toggle the lock state of a locked and unlocked ball and give them +2" — reliable +2s, and lock management matters in Tech. |
| Basketball | Classic · Rare | "Score more than this ball's score from any effect: +2" — steady growth on a busy board, no growth on a quiet one. |
| Juggling ball | Classic · Rare | "Pocket: Remove this pocket's score and give it to both adjacent pockets, +2" — pocket-score shuffling that adds up over a long round. |
| Human / Werewolf | Spooky · Rare | "Hit cue ball: transform into a Werewolf" and back again — good with Shark Plush, awkward on its own because the Werewolf does not score. |
| Sunflower | Nature · Uncommon | "Pocket: Give 3 planted flowers to their closest ball" — the payout half of a flower build; needs the planting half to exist. |
| Log | Nature · Common | "Pocket: Give your logs +2" — scales with how many logs you own, so it is a build, not a pickup. |
| Rose | Nature · Common | "Pocket: +3 your biggest flower, or plant one with 3 score if you don't have any" — a dependable flower starter. |
| Marble | Classic · Common | "Hit another marble: +2" — two marbles is a fine floor, four is a real engine. |
| Bricks | Classic · Common | "Hit wall: +1" — free growth on every long shot and a buff source for Sand. |
| Vampire | Spooky · Uncommon | "Pocket any ball: Steal up to 2 score from the highest ball" — moves score rather than creating it, which caps it below A. |
| Skull | Spooky · Uncommon | "Pocket: Give the closest unshielded ball a shield and +1" — a buff plus protection on the difficulties where cubes punish you. |
| Turbine | Tech · Uncommon | "Pocket another ball: Launch and +1 another ball" — buff plus movement, and movement is score on a crowded table. |
| Drill | Tech · Uncommon | "Pocket: Spawn a locked drill with 3 more score than this" — escalating bodies, gated behind unlocking them. |
| Machine | Tech · Common | "Pocket: Spawn 2 level1 Scrap balls" — scrap is the Tech set's fuel, and Recycler turns it into upgrades. |
| Lightbulb | Tech · Common | "Pocket: Upgrade a Scrap · Spawn a level1 Scrap ball" — the other half of the scrap loop. |
| Gravestone | Spooky · Common | "Another ball spawns: +1 it" — pays every time anything spawns, which is constantly in a spawner board. |
| Smiley Face | Classic · Uncommon | "Pocket: +1 shot (max 20)" — more shots is more of everything, but only if your board can use them. |
| Bnuuy | Friends · Uncommon | "Round end: Pocket (x2) and gain 1 shot (max 20)" — a guaranteed double-score pocket every round. |
| Raccoon | Friends · Uncommon | "Hit a smaller ball: Pocket it (x1 score) and gain 50% of its score" — clears the board and banks part of what it clears. |
| Goat / Sheep | Friends · Common | "Hit non-cue ball: +1" (this one or the other) — small, dependable, and they feed Sand. |
| Piggybank | Friends · Common | "Sell: gain extra gold equal to this ball's score x1" — an economy card: grow it, then sell it before the shop closes. |
| Golden Ball | Classic · Common | "Pocket: +2€" — money is board size, and board size is score. |
C Tier
| Name | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Positional balls | Cat, Dog, Snek, Robot, Ladybug, Spirit, Conveyor, Plushie | These nudge, launch or drag balls around instead of scoring. They win rounds when your table is crowded and do nothing when it is not — worth taking late, never worth building around. |
| Number balls 1–7 | Classic · Common to Rare | "Combine with any number ball to add the scores." Filler until you find 8 Ball or Overflow Ball, at which point they become the build. |
| Setup and utility | Screw, Blueprint, Upgrade Ball, Gacha Capsule, Scrap, TV, Piping | Enablers with no score of their own. Fine when the payoff ball is already on the board; dead draws when it is not. |
| Jack-O-Lantern | Spooky · Common | Its listed effect is literally none — it is what a Pumpkin becomes at 5 score. Track it as a body, not as an effect. |
